Unable to sync (I believe due to log in error)

To get your bug fixed faster please try to answer the following questions:

  1. Which browser, operating system and versions of those are you using?
    Brave (and tried with Firefox) latest version, Windows 10 latest
  2. Which version of Memex are you running?
  3. What are the steps you took that lead to the bug?
  • Upgrade to beta mobile app on Android (Version 1.7.7) from Version 1.7.6
  • Attempt to log in to app
  • Log in fails due to unrecognised username and password (despite being able to log in and log out with the same credentials in the extension)
  • Downgrade to non-beta app Version 1.7.6
  • Attempt to sync on mobile app
  • Fails
  • Fails repeatedly after lots of troubleshooting.

When looking in the console during the failures, this error always appears:

This plus not being able to log in to the beta android app leads me to believe that there is something wrong with my credentials somewhere along the line. Despite being a paid up member of the pro-plan.

I would greatly appreciate any assistance. Even though the syncing is in beta, it has become a cornerstone of my workflow.

I am sorry for all the hoops you had to go through, there are issues with the sync right now.
Also for the late answer.

The problem is now fixed and you can update to the latest version 2.19.6 on Firefox to get that running again.
