I donā€™t have permissions to edit my posts yet (and the above was generated by the app), but can confirm that I still canā€™t sync between Android and Firefox due to a timeout.

And this even after changing my Linux distro a more standard one and a fresh install of Firefox (see [SOLVED] How to restore on a new computer & then back up? for details).

This happens regardless whether both devices are on the same WiFi or the laptop is tethered to the phone.

Hmm, just remembered ā€¦could it be the firewall? What ports do need to be open on the laptop/desktopā€™s firewall?
