QR code for mobile sync doesn't work

I’m using MacOS 11.2.3, iOS 14.6
When I scan the QR code with my phone, it takes me to a search page searching for “-XXXXXXXXXXXX” and says the search did not return any results.

You need to open the mobile app and scan it there!

I got to step 4 to sync, but after some time (10 mins or so) I got the error screen saying that the sync experienced a timeout. I restarted it once more with the same result. Both devices are connected to wifi and I did the speedtest and it seems fine

Sorry so much for the late reply.
Have been heads down working on the new sync.

We discovered there is a bug for some users on the initial sync that we decided not to fix because we are launching a completely overhauled sync on October 11. (we also thought we are finished earlier)
From then on you can sync as many devices as you want, have auto-backup and saving and annotating stuff on tablets available. Also no QR code scanning necessary anymore. Just logging in :slight_smile:
