The ability to indent notes during the capture phase would be a real boost to some workflows. Indenting notes at this stage will reduce processing friction when exporting to note taking apps like Roam Research. Furthermore, if heading formatting can be applied (h1, h2, h3), that would be a further bonus. Obviously, the text export via Readwise to Roam would need to be able to accommodate this as well.

Yes that is possible in several ways, if I understand your request properly
The notes themselves can be indented like you can see in the screenshot, which also shows the formatting options you can open in the bottom right corner.
You can also design a Copy-Paste template that indents the notes by adding 4 spaces before the {{{Notes}}} placeholder
