3) What are the steps you took that lead to the bug?
Not a bug in itself. My Mac computer crashed and I was unable to make a backup (I use manual backups, last backup I did was 2 months ago). However, I have a full backup of my hard drive from an hour before the computer crashed. Is there a way I can recover my data from the past two months?

Update
I solved this by recovering all the information contained in my Brave Browser profile and transferring it to my new installation of Brave. On Mac, all this information is contained within the ~/Library/Application Support/BraveSoftware/Brave-Browser/Default
This is unfortunately an incomplete backup, even though my HD image was from hours before the computer crashed. This is not encouraging because it means that some of my data within Memex had already been lost without me noticing.
