Searching for Substrings

Good Morning,

Perhaps I am misunderstanding the search feature, but it seems that searching for a substring is not possible.
Example:
If I am browsing https://www.reddit.com/r/unixporn/ and later, I want to search for this page.

Typing “unixp” does not give a result. Searching for the whole string “unixporn” works.
Same for the word “screenshot” this does not show hits if the text on the page is “screenshots”.
Did I get something wrong, or is this just a current limitation?

This makes the search function somehow useless.
Also, it might be that tipping "m + [searchword] in the browser displays that there should be several results. Executing the query shows no results…

Thanks @strandundmeer for posting this feature request/question.

Indeed we don’t support substring search (yet).
We will probably work on it quite soon though after we have worked out a couple of performance bottlenecks. Then we are likely also working on search suggestions.

Can you elaborate on this a bit more, because I am not sure if I understand what you mean?

To give you some ideas what I am talking about I’ll use two screenshots:

trying to find all websites which have the word “resolve” in it I start typing.
Shown on the screenshot that m + “resol” shows 4 hits and I should press enter so see the results.
well, I did and this is what I get.
