Request for a step-by-step tutorial on how to install an memex backup app on linux for linux beginners

Hi,
I am new to the linux world, and would like to use the memex backup application because it seems i can trust it. It is the only such extensive and private bookmark manager. I would love to have a backup on disk as I don’t want to collect data through Firefox.
Unfortunately, I can’t install it. So, would anyone write me what to do step by step to install this application? I would be really grateful!

Kind greetings, Jeremy.

Hey Jeremy

last time I did it there was actually no installation necessary. Not sure on what distro that was again.
I just ran the application file that is in the unpacked folder.

Does that work for you?

I’m sorry that so late, but what extension does this app? I am on PopOs and it don’t show any application after unpacking the folder.
